Elegant Wedding at The Milk Station Otaki | Emma & Glen
THE MILK STATION, OTAKI
These two lovebirds go way back to their high school days! But it wasn’t until they both found themselves in Wellington a few years later that they realised they were made for each other. After not seeing each other for ages, Glen reached out to Emma to see if she wanted to catch up. They got together for a lil coffee date and have been inseparable ever since!
This duo have a cheeky little tradition when life gets hectic–grab some KFC and head down to the waterfront at Oriental Bay. So one night they were sitting in their car, eating their chicken dinner and just chillin’. When they finished eating, Glen asked Emma to get rid of their rubbish so she hopped out of the car and tossed the bag in the bin. When she got back, Glen was holding an engagement ring and popped the question. And the rest is history!
Emma and Glen got married at The Milk Station in Otaki. They went for a simple, elegant wedding with black and white details in their styling. By using white flowers, champagne bridesmaids dresses, and black suits, they let the Italian inspired architecture of the venue speak for itself. For them, their wedding was all about bringing together the people they love the most and having a rad time celebrating their love!
I asked Emma and Glen about a top tip for couples getting married, and they said, "It can be really easy to second guess yourself when you’ve got so many options for your wedding, right? So, back yourself and your decisions instead of agonising over every damn thang. Also, having a detailed run sheet for your day is a total lifesaver! When everyone knows what to do, you can just focus on enjoying every moment!"
