International Wedding Photographer of the Year 2021 – Finalist

International Wedding Photographer of the Year 2021 - Finalist

A bit of a pat on the back moment! Super stoked to see this photo of mine on the big stage. It was named as a Top 15 finalist in the International Wedding Photographer of the Year 2021 competition for the epic location category. This was from Ryan and Viktoria’s elopement wedding in Mount Cook, New Zealand. Great wee high amongst the rocky start to the wedding season due to the ole C word!

Intimate winter wedding at Chateau Tongariro

Francesca + Jeremy

A winter wedding in New Zealand is almost like something out of a fairytale. Given it’s a season filled with fickle weather that usually couples avoid, this lovely pair decided to go against the norms. Francesca and Jeremy escaped the urban jungle of Auckland and decided on having an intimate wedding in the mountains. Surrounded only by their closest family and little daughter, they exchanged vows at the historical Chateau Tongariro Hotel. We even adventured up to Mount Ruapehu for some quick snaps in the moody snow before cold kicked in. Check out their winter wedding below!

Dream Mountain Wedding in Mount Cook

Kim + Adrian

A Mount Cook mountain wedding was the dream for this Auckland couple. Kim and Adrian decided to exchange wedding bands with the colours of Lake Pukaki as their backdrop. Nestled by the mountains of the South Island, they ditched their cultural traditions and opted for a massive party with their favourite people. Kicking the ceremony off with tequila shots and a first dance under the stars. The night ended with the groom busting out his inner magic mike. It may have been the best wedding of 2021. Have a look at their fun-filled day below!

Taste of South African love with an elopement in Auckland

Staci + Ruan

The west coast got a taste of South African love. Staci and Ruan had an elopement style wedding in Auckland. Similar to their relationship it was vibrant, colourful and a ton of fun. These two met delivering pizza together, back home in South Africa. She was the hot girl on the bike as Ruan put it. After a few years and a move to NZ, they still light up when they see each other. Now, a first look under a waterfall, vows on a clifftop and smoke bombs to tie the knot. Topping it all off with a bespoke boho picnic set up by With Love Styling. Finally, the pair got to witness what New Zealand summers are all about. Golden sunsets on the beach!

Take a look at their Auckland elopement below featuring a film + photo collab with V Visual.

Ashleigh and Glenn’s beautiful Coromandel beach wedding

Glenn + Ashleigh

Ashleigh and Glenn decided to have an intimate Coromandel beach wedding. A trip down memory lane, the pair had met from a classic Facebook request after a night out. Sparks flew immediately. Having travelled the world, the white sandy beach of Pauanui was still home. The perfect place for the dream wedding that Ashleigh had always wanted. Some of the best vendors came together to make it all possible. The sun was out and the tissues were ready. What an incredible day it was!
